History

Tiger Lilly's excellent conformation

Bred in Germany and imported in utero Tiger Lilly was born 2000 in Canada.

She displays an outstanding conformation.

Tiger Lilly has three exceptional gaits and impresses with her outstanding rideability. Performing upon the slightest aids she is a real pleasure to ride. She has shown Training Level Dressage and currently schools First and Second Level movements like lateral work and collection in trot and canter.

The following pictures show her at a Trillium Dressage show with the 17 year old girl Lisa Schlomicher presenting her in four Training Level classes. Lisa and Tiger Lilly won three of them and placed second in the fourth with scores over 60%.

Tiger Lilly jumps a 3'6" course without any problems even with a young or unexperiecend rider. She never gets strong but keeps her pace and matches her stride to take each fence in a fluent jump.

The 2006 show season proves Tiger Lilly's multiple talents. After showing highly successfully Dressage in 2005 with a junior rider she is now showing Trillium Jumpers and Eventing. During the winter show season Tiger Lilly was 3'6" Champion at Schooling jumping shows. She also won already several ribbons in the Child/Adult Trillium Jumpers in the summer show season 2006.

Her very first event at Caledon saw Tiger Lilly as overall winner in the Pre-Training division with the judge's remark on her Dressage Test that she is 'a very pretty mare and elegant ride! Good job!' and a score of 73% or 40.5 penalties. After jumping clear in stadium and cross-country she finished on the best Dressage score.

Liverpools, water and ditches do not faze her at all and as an extremely bold and honest jumper she simply jumps what you put in front of her. Her stamina and forward going attitude predermine her to be a great eventing horse and in August we intend to move her up to Training Level Eventing. She has the talent and ability to go Prelim next year and even higher in the future.

Tiger Lilly's Sire Cupric xx was one of the few thoroughbreds approved by the German Trakehner association. He himself participated twice successfully in the German Championships for young horses and showed later in dressage up to the highest level. He is also an excellent jumper with a beautiful style over fences. Cupric goes back to Nijinsky by the world famous Northern Dancer and shows in his pedigree many other well known German, Irish and French thouroughbreds.

Tiger Lilly's dam Toyah is sired by the German elite stud Marduc who holds his place in the top 200 Overall Dressage Sires in Germany for many years. He proved his talent and his rideability showing Grand Prix level Dressage for several years before he was used for breeding only due to overwhelming demand. Three out of his 16 Trakehner approved sons and grandsons join him already in the top 200 Dressage Sires, two of them even in the top 20. Marduc's breeding index displays impressive 144 points and sets him at third place overall in Germany. He produced several Champion and Reserve Champion stallions at the annual koerungen not only for the Trakehner breed but also for other German Warmblood breeds. His offspring can be seen in dressage classes as well as in jumper classes.

Toyah also has the stallion Maharadscha on both sides of her pedigree. He was one of the founders of the modern Trakehner who left his stamp in many bloodlines and performance horses. Toyah descends from the family of Tonga, a mare bloodline that goes back to the original main stud book of Trakehnen itself.
