Phantom is a stunning black gelding who measures only 16.1hh but appears to be much bigger. He was imported from Europe in 2000 where he showed successfully for many years in Dressage classes under Petra Buttner at Second Level. He also schools Third Level movements.
Phantom has lots of presence and is a real sweetheart. He is very willing and has excellent manners on the ground and under saddle. His very laid back attitude makes this horse a great asset for any barn. He can be ridden by anybody and everybody loves him. If you are looking for an absolutely reliable mount that you can ride indoors or outdoors, flat work, Dressage, take him over some jumps or just go hacking do not look any further. It does not matter how experienced you are, this horse does it for you.
Phantom has a great conformation and is despite his years sound and sane. With this horse you can not go wrong.

Phantom has three excellent gaits. His swinging trot with lots of impulsion and a great suspension makes it easy to collect him. In the canter you will feel the power from behind that enables him to almost canter on the spot and provides you with so much engagement that lateral work will never be an issue to worry about.
Phantom is schooled to Third Level Dressage and has his lateral work (shoulder-in, travers, renvers, half pass) in trot and canter down pat. (To see a video of his canter half pass please click here) The discerned amateur can learn all the movements from this horse because Phantom knows them inside and out and does them on the lightest touch.
Last year he was highly successful shown by an amateur in Second Level Dressage and never placed lower than second.

Phantom also has a very impressive history as eventer. In 2004 he showed for the very first time in his life on the eventing circuit and became Ontario Reserve Champion at Pre-Training level. Phantom is a very reliable and scopey jumper that still enjoys every now and then going over some jumps but should not be jumped extensively anymore because of his age. He is looking for a good home where he would have something more to do than baby sitting our foals and where he could teach somebody the art of correct and classical Dressage.
